Lichen planus in one of its favorite sites, the back of the hand. Polygonal lesions, partly confluating, purple hue and itching are typical features. Potent topical corticosteroids for a limited period often are curative. Oral retinoids, even cyclosporin-A, may be considered in more severe, therapy-resistant cases.
