Ingrown nail and small secondary pyogenic granuloma at the nail fold of the big toe, the most typical site of this painful condition. Several treatment modalities are offered for individual consideration. Simple avulsion and phenolization is the treatment of choice. Wedge excision is more traumatic. Cryosurgery possibly combined with curettage of the extra granulating tissue is also an option.
